Mission to Rescue

They had boarded the ship the next day, part of the 9th fleet, on it's way to Mars.  209 loaded onto a Miach combatengineering drone, She was going mostly for technical support, someone had to hack the doors, and the kreigs or whoever they were utilized a closed system.  The shell was clunky but well armored, she brough a handgun as well.
The trip there, Phee had them running simulations, of a few different scenarios, as it was uncertian exactly what they were going into.  Soon they arrived in Mars orbit., the three of them, Pheonix, Naomi and 209 boarded a landing craft as it went down to the surface.

As soon as they departed, they were rushed by a group of mercs.  Phee and Naomi mowed them down, Sue even managed to hit some, targetting aids built into the drone seemed to count for something afterall.  Once the mercs were put down, Phee signalled for them to move.  they ran across the sands towards the structure in the distance.  reaching it, the two combat models covered as 209 plugged the drone into the panel for the door, and jacked in.

The kreigs, mercs, or whoever's system was fairly unimaginative, Sue found herself floating through identicle grey corridors.  She located the control node for the front door after a few seconds, and holding her hand over the glowing square, released glowing blue tendrils into it, manipulating it and folding the data into a new shape, a star. 

In realspace, the door opened to the electronic voice announcing that acess was granted.
the drone disconnected and Sue stood up "it's open!"  the trio ran in..

Inside it was fairly quiet, they shot the security cameras, but no guards came running out, then Phee heard the gunshot and reacted first.  They followed her to the elevators, taking them up.  Another couple times of hacking doors, and they entered what looked like a meeting room.  There was a man, Sue kept her gun on him until Phee arrived and claimed he was Utopia.  The man said he was a friend of Erich's, and heard the distress signals, so came to help, the mercs let him in beleiving he was their pilot.  He offered to bring them to Erich.  They followed him, eventually running into Erich, who promptly shot the man.  As it wasn't the time or place for Erich to explain, they headed back out.  stopping to retreive Erich's enviro suit.  As they left the stronghold, they began being shot at.  They ran.  Getting closer to the pickup point, there was a sudden mortar explosion, tossing Phee and Erich and shaking the ground as mercs came out in force.  They managed to get everyone on the pod and take off admidst the shots.  As they strapped in, they headed to meet with the fleet, Phee taking controls of the pod, and doging the enemy craft that were showing up in swarms.. They soon rendevouz with the ship, and boarded, the fleet having kept any enemy ships at bay while they were on the surface.  as the fleet returned to Utopia.
