209 was in the observation deck after transferring back from the ICE shell she kept in Hangars Liquides, having had a conversation with Tae, and Phee, about A.I. and Tae's possible neural mapping.
 [20:04] Phoenix (dawn12.parx) looks over. "The AI classes have nothing to do with intelligence. There are class 2s that could beat me at chess. If you are a sentient human, you are functionally equivalent to a class 5 AI."
[20:06] Tae shakes her ehad andchuckles. "i wasn't rferring to intelligence actually, merely freedom of will. I find myself seeking to do what I was told to do. i was judging it on behavioral comparion. quite frankly phoenix, you think mor efreely than I do."
[20:07] Phoenix (dawn12.parx) 's eyebrows raise slightly "Then in that fact, you may have uncovered the reason why I am so interested in you being our second test subject."

[20:09] Tae frowns a little bit and gives a deep frown. "you're trying to see if you can foster human creativity and development on an A.i platform? In essence using me as a testbed for theories that lead to, creative thoought, or perhaps proof of A.i superiority over the average human?" she'd phras eit curiously, while the owrds may have been hostile from anyone else, the certainly weren't from Tae, simply curious

The idea is that any sentient mind, be it neurons or transistors, naturally includes a certain number of those neurons or transistors that are quantum entangled. If transferred, the fundamental essence of a mind could be moved from one form to another. We have had one successful test - Chun decided to become reborn as the AI mind 'Hope.'"

I helped her through it, and now she is progressing happily and beautifully."

The news surprised 209, and she found she had mixed feelings about it, deciding that once she was able, she would have to speak with Chun/Hope.  On the one hand, her own transferrance had opened up her potential, she could dive and hack the grid with much more speed than when she had the meat body, but her own experiences of the transfer itself were less than pleasant.
The conversation continued for awhile, until Pheonix stood up suddenly.


[20:30] Phoenix (dawn12.parx) abruptly stands up, gasps, and puts a hand to her mouth "OH MY GODDESS!"
[20:31] Tae just lifts an eyebrow, her eyes going wide out of shock, she'd have to get used to the sudden reactions from phoenix. 'What is it?"
[20:32] Phoenix (dawn12.parx): "ERICH!" she cries, "Something has HAPPENED to him!"
[20:33] Sue 209 (nurse209): what?!
[20:33] Tae just blinks a little bit, more than a little surprised. "anything that i can help with at all? That said, i'll assume that it was a spaceborne accident."

[20:35] Phoenix (dawn12.parx): "No. it wasn't. He used one of the secret new jump capable ships. I just got a databurst from him on the station ansible. He was ambushed. FUCK I shouldn't have let him go in alone!"

[20:37] Phoenix (dawn12.parx) plays back an audio recording.

[20:37] Tae frowns a little bit and lets out a heavy sigh, the rattling sound from her mask coming quite loud. "and you're about to go chase after him then are you? [20:38] Phoenix (dawn12.parx): No, this is an experimental space folding drive system. Very hush-hush. DAMMIT! They can't make the turnaround to get me there any sooner than 9 hours from now.
[20:39] Tae just sighs a little bit and blinks, almost thinking that she shouldn't have known even that it existed, sos he'd shrink back, still insatiably curious, but secret was a word that still caused her to tune things out quite rapidly.

20:41] Phoenix (dawn12.parx): alright, think... he's been ambushed by overwhelming force. If we respond with equal force, the battle may be protracted - he becomes a hostage and/or a human shield, which leaves only one option.

[20:46] Tae gives a polite wave and sighs. 'i'll be in my bunk working on geometry, try not to die."

[21:00] Sue 209 (nurse209): so, on the one hand, he could rally b be ambushed, and either dead, or a prisoner at least, if he's dead, there's not much use going after him, on the otherhand, he could still be an ai hating sumbitch, and worked to set you up to walk into a trap
[21:01] Armitage- 12 (herbert.varthader) frowns "He may of helped you phee, but you don't get rid of thirty years of hate overnight--if he's prisoner it's probably another trap."

[21:07] Phoenix (dawn12.parx) turns to Armitage "Can you think of a better way to seize the initiative?"

[21:07] Armitage- 12 (herbert.varthader) shakes his head "I can think, but nothing is coming up."
[21:08] Phoenix (dawn12.parx): "Then you'll accompany me - for logical and strategic reasons?"

Get checked out in the lab and make sure all malfunctions are fully repaired and that you have a full charge. Then I want to do some Mainframe full data rate training. You can give me a day's training in fighting Kriegs in about 1 realtime hour. Are there any questions?"
[21:16] Armitage- 12 (herbert.varthader) shakes his head "No ma'am, 1 days training isn't enough but it'll do."
As Pheonix and Armitage left to prepare, 209 had to sigh, just as she had heard news that gave her conflicting feelings, she was getting pulled into an apparant suicide mission.  yay.
